Better playback of HDR and 4K content

These foils are ideally suited for projections where contrast and black levels are essential for visual impact. Think: high-dynamics (HDR) content and 4K projection.

Disadvantages of ultra black projection foil:

Limited viewing angle

As with high contrast foil, the viewing angle may be more limited. The reason is that ultra black foil optimizes contrast for viewers sitting directly in front of the screen.

Not suitable for all projectors

Ultra black foil places specific demands on the projector. The foil works best with powerful projectors capable of compensating for lower gain.

Possible colour accuracy issues

The dark, almost black properties of the foil may affect colour accuracy. This will occur especially if the projector is not properly or sufficiently calibrated.
