Touch foils and touch frames

Touch foils and touch frames are used to turn ordinary displays into interactive touchscreens. They are used in numerous industries.

Macada Innovision makes custom touch foils and touch frames: Macada Capacitive touchscreen foil and Macada Infrared touchscreen frame.

Capacitive touchscreen foil

A thin, transparent foil that works on the basis of projective capacitive technology (PCAP). Placed behind a sheet of glass, this foil detects touch as changes in the electric field. This enables a sleek, flat touch solution without physical buttons. Read more about this product here.

Infrared touchscreen frame

The touch function is enabled by a grid of infrared light beams projected just above the screen surface. When an object – such as a finger – interrupts the rays, the position of the touch is determined.
The technology works independently of the surface used and is also suitable for larger sizes and for touching with gloves or other objects. Read more about this product here.

Different applications of touch foils and touch frames

Macada Innovision’s touch foils and touch frames are always customized. They can usually be easily applied to existing screens or panels. In comparison, building an entirely new touch device is much more complex. Therefore, choosing touch foils or touch frames usually means saving time, effort and cost.

Where can you find touchscreen products?

Digital signage and kiosks

Touch foils and touch frames are widely used in public displays such as digital kiosks, interactive information stations and digital signs. By simply touching the screen, users can search for information, make choices or interact with the system.

Retail and shopping experience

In stores, touch foils are used in interactive displays. In them, customers can explore products, look up information, or make a purchase through a touchscreen interface.

Education

Schools and other educational institutions often add touch films and/or touchscreens to their projection screens, with the goal of creating interactive lessons.
