We supply customized mirrors to our clients on a daily basis. We cut and/or grind the mirrors ourselves, according to the client’s wishes and/or design drawing, in the correct format. In consultation with our client, we produce mirrors with very precise dimensions. From very large to very small, varying in thickness, and if desired with a (poly)ground edge.
What are these mirrors used for? In our March 2022 news release, some clients told us about their uses of our custom mirrors.
For example, they are an indispensable component in machine vision. Machine vision systems are used to perform automated (process) controls, based on camera images. Think of product measurements in factories or the packaging system in your supermarket. An angled mirror in the system creates a ‘kink’ in the image and thus creates the correct distance between the product to be checked and the camera lens.
