Polishing (PP grinding)

What is poly grinding?

There are several grinding methods: poly, facet and mitre grinding. Of these, poly grinding is by far the most decorative method of finishing for cut glass & mirrors. It is also the safest finish; a poly cut edge is not sharp, so you cannot cut yourself on it.

Poly cut edges can be seen on glass doors, furniture, tabletops, shelves, display cases, windshields and frameless mirrors, for example.

How does poly grinding of mirrors & glass work?

Our professional Bavelloni glass grinder is equipped with diamond and polishing discs.
In high-gloss poly grinding (also called poly/flat grinding), the sharp sides of a glass or mirror are 45°poly ground (polished), the leading edge is poly/flat ground.
